Teachers:

I am very proud of the teachers who teach at the Creative Groove Studio.  I have chosen teachers not only for the caliber of
their teaching experience but also for their instinctive gift of interacting with children.  It's something that cannot be taught and
I'm excited to have found such a wonderful team of teachers.  I've chosen them both from my teaching perspective and my
perspective as a parent.

Alejandra Sapirstein:
Alejandra teaches our Bailemos-Let's Dance classes and our Backyard Boogie class.  She is an incredibly popular teacher
and much-loved by the children she teaches.

Born in  Chile, Alejandra is a dance teacher, choreographer and professional dancer.  Her resume includes countless works,
studies and festivals in a variety of countries, including Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, France, the United States, as well as her
native Chile.  She has produced and directed musicals and choreographies for numerous organizations.

Alejandra teaches dance to elementary and middle school children at Hoboken Charter School.

Karyn Kuhl:
Karyn is a singer/ songwriter/ guitarist who performs in many NYC venues.  She has been teaching her program "Music Time" in
Hoboken for a number of years now.  Karyn taught for many years at Echo of Art and, more recently, at the Monroe Movement
Center.

She teaches
Groovy Baby  for babies (0-12 months), Music Time (1-3 year olds) and Drumming 'n' Strumming (2-4 year
olds).

Karyn has a wonderfully gentle energy with children of this age and, as a result, the children adore her!  She is a fantastic
person to introduce children to the wonderful world of music.  After taking her class, my son would sing "We Will Rock You" while
I changed his diaper.

Kristin Stokes- Has been performing since age 8 and teaching since age 15. From college bound teens to giggling tots; she’s
taught an array of classes to budding creative minds. Some of her teaching credits include; acting for beginners (8-12), college
audition prep, high school theater department choreographer, musical theater acting couch, puppeteer and story teller for
toddlers, and director of Star Struck Theatre’s summer musical theater camp (7-13). She is very happy to be able to extend her
love of children and teaching to the youths at Creative Groove. Kristin believes children are very special, and enjoys seeing
them grow each day with their creativity and curiosity.  Kristin is also an Equity actress who continues to perform coast to coast
and is a graduate of the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts.  I discovered Kristin when she entertained and taught a
group of 20 seven year olds at an "Annie" party we hosted and I was blown away by her energy and her rapport with the
children.  I'm very excited to have her join the teaching staff at Creative Groove  Studio.

Louie Miranda:
Louie teaches our Cantemos-Let's Sing class which is truly a Fiesta Latina!  Louie is a veteran musician and educator with an
extensive  background as a soloist and freelance artist.

Louie has been teaching his classes at the Children’s Museum of Manhattan; the JCC in Manhattan; and privately throughout
the tri-state area. Formerly at Reebok Sports Club and Kidville.

Through song, dance, storytelling and play, children explore basic concepts of music such as rhythm, pitch, dynamics, tempo,
harmony and melody.

Using bilingual tracks from Louie’s CD’s- Fiesta Latina, Dis-n-Dat, Yellow Checker Taxi Jazz Guitar and Animal Mix, each
parent/caregiver and child will learn innovative ways to integrate the Spanish language into their daily lives. This will include a
greeting song, the names of their body parts and how to count, along with the Spanish translations to traditional children’s
songs such as Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star; Mary Had a Little Lamb; Itsy Bitsy Spider & Wheels on the Bus.
