| Bebe Ole! (6 to 18 months) ... encouraging your little one to jump and jive ... Can you teach a baby to cha-cha-cha?? Maybe not a cha-cha-cha that you and I would recognize but, as a parent, you won't be surprised by how naturally and instinctively very young children move to music. As a teacher, I'm always thrilled when I see a spontaneous smile spread over a toddler's face when the music starts. This class is all about encouraging that innate rhythm and the natural love of music and movement that your child demonstrates whenever they hear music. We will introduce your child to music that they might not otherwise get to hear - cha-cha, salsa, mambo, quickstep, argentine tango, jive! Every class will open with circle time where the children will become familiar with a set of songs, stories and games. There will be some old favorites but always with a latin twist! We will have lots of brightly colored, fun instruments for the children to make their own music. Then you will scoop your favorite dance partner into your arms and we will learn some latin dances - salsa, rumba, tango, samba and swing. The children love it and the parents or nannies have a blast too! Please bring a baby carrier for this part of the class. We will introduce the Spanish language by incorporating songs, stories and games with colors, numbers, animals and greetings in Spanish. We will close with story time with the Spanish versions of classic children's books such as Oso Pardo, Oso Pardo (Brown Bear, Brown Bear) and Buenas Noches Luna (Goodnight Moon). Parent Testimonial from a Bebe Ole Family What one of our Bebe Ole moms said... "This class was fantastic for my 15-month old daughter. She is already a gregarious, outgoing child. However, when she started the class she also started dancing, moving to all rhythms, even ones that to you and I don't sound very rhythmic! She loves to get up when watching her educational music tapes and move to the beat. Sometimes she will just hear a radio blaring from a car on the street and in the stroller start moving her shoulders. She loves all music and has a deep appreciation for it. I am positive it was due to her Boogie class, where she was introduced to all kinds of fun, interesting music. She even mimics what she learns at home, because she seems to genuinely love what she is learning and participates in. Thanks Sally for a great learning and enjoyable experience for my little girl!" ...
